There simply are not enough talented pan-pipe players for the main streets of Peru, as all the talent has been lured to Europe. Meanwhile High streets in the UK are presiding through a period of pan pipe boom.

The pan pipers used to 'own' that bit of Kingston in front of the Bentall Centre, but I haven't seen them lately. It's all chuggers now.
There is a late night busker, mind. Old black guy who plays guitar and growls popular songs tunelessly but with charm. He incorporates greetings, chat-up lines to passers-by into the songs...
And another thing, I swear the vinegar in chip-shops is getting weaker. I reckon they water it down...
