Two American spies are being detained in the Iran capitol Tehran accused of being hikers.
The men, who have not been named, were arrested on Monday, sources say, after parachuting into a military zone under cover of night, dressed in black and carrying weapons and equipment similar to that used by the Navy Seals.
Soon after, they were arrested and accused of being hikers, which, according to American Embassy official “...is completely absurd.”
An Iran official said something at a press conference on Thursday which nobody really understood but did contain the phrases “Swiss army knife” and “big thumbs”.
President Obama, who said he knows the men personally, and also went bowling with them quite a lot, was reported to have said “This is really silly, those men didn't even have a Lonely Planet Guide with them.”
Iran said the men had absolute no interest in the nuclear facility near the military zone and just wanted to walk around the mountains and take photographs of people with goats.
In the past several similar cases have been recorded, mostly resulting in really long newspaper articles.
