With debates such as The Pubic Sector and Co-ordinated Action, the annual Adult Equity conference attracts pornographic actors and actresses from around the world. But the TUC has been accused of gatecrashing this year’s event at Conquest House, London. There are reports of angry men in suits dominating the proceedings with rhetoric about pensions and ballots.
"We were shocked," said delegate Monica Player, star of cult film A Street Girl Named Desire. "One moment we were excitedly discussing something long and hard and dirty, and then some guy, I think his name was Brian Strap-On, was going on about boring stuff like marches and demonstrations."
The controversy reached a climax during the debate on Proper Engagement, led by a transvestite named Maud. The discussion was making little progress but was then completely derailed by someone apparently threatening violence. Security were called but the perpetrator, believed to be an apprentice, was allowed to stay after explaining that he was in unison with everyone and his use of the word ‘strike’ was simply about lots of members standing up for themselves.
