   No? Just me, Rick and a strange new reincarnation of the Joan Bloggs creator.

   It did occur to me this morning (AT WORK!) that if I could think of lots of funny stuff I could fill the whole page. Alas, the funny stuff bit was the stumbling block.

   Sorry to be an old stick in the mud, but I really didn't like the NIB about the NIBs and took it down. It felt like it was aimed more at people in the Chat Room and the Writers' Room than the majority who just read the front pages so I replaced it with an expanded rickwestwell idea from a while back. Hope this doesn't disappoint too much Rick, cos you're a top notch writer and editor most of the time as my trawl through your archives has just confirmed...

    Hi John - shame you didn't like it.

    The NiB had nothing to do with the chat or writers' rooms, it was a joke about web sites having fewer visitors at weekends. Along with the planned follow-up which won't now be used, the idea was to be eye-catching, a little different, and to amuse the people who do read at the weekends. Never mind.

    I don't recognise the story you put up in its place - don't think it's one of mine.
