Britain's fashionistas have given a cautious 'thumbs up' to the possibility of a return to growth in the nation's cool index. Following several years of modish depression, the 'green shorts of recovery' have been sighted, and based purely on chic levels last summer was reportedly the 'coolest since 1993'.

You've just read the same BBC report as I have, haven't you?
Not sure if I'm at all consoled by the knowledge that this summer has been very wet, but not as wet as the previous four.
As someone who's tumble-dryer has just died, I find little solace in that fact.

Bloody hell, woman, there's me going out to work all day to earn us a crust, and expecting you to put a couple of puns and a clever switch on the table for when I get home.
