When does the horror end?

I have no idea what that means, but, if it's an attempt to be humoro(u)s, I commend you.

Oh goody, my favourite GSD is back!!
Now my lovely, I hope you've got a good supply of vinegar to drink and lemons to suck, because there's just not been enough caustic spread here.Posted 10 years ago # -

Memories. The nuns in school were vy. fond of telling me that my classmates were laughing at me rather than with me. (An attempt to shame me into silence.) I didn't care as long as the dreadul boredom was alleviated for a few seconds.

Neal raises an interesting point, but is it 'knob' or 'nob'? I makes a difference- it would be surprising if nuns in education were concerned about door furniture.

I always believed it to be "knob", as a "nob" is a posh person, as in "Hob-nobbing at the Hunt Ball".

'Hob-nobbing' is an upper class practice involving insertion of oat-based biscuit products into someone's rectum.
Now is that practice or practise ?? Oh dear it's going to be a long day...
