I'm delighted to tell you that today we welcomed 7 live pups, and sadly 1 dead into the world. We have 1 white boy and 2 black boys, and 2 white and 2 black girls.
All happy, healthy and feeding very well, mum exhausted but content and being a great mum.

Glad to hear he is responding to treatments, and I hope he continues to thrive.

Grinning like a thing that grins a lot. Those are very sweet photos. I don't know how you can plan on just keeping one.
I'm too sentimental if my cat had got up the duff I'd have wanted to keep all the kittens. And that's one of the many good reasons why I had her spayed. I'm too young to be a crazy cat lady, though it is totally my plan for later on in life.

That's the reason we own the male shitsu, if I had the female, I'd be the mad dog lady, dunking Bonio into my cup of tea.
Amongst the litter, we actually have identical twin girls, which I believe is fairly uncommon. Even now, they stay as close to each other as possible and like to feed side by side. If you move one of them, they wriggle and squeak until they are together again. Having major problems not bringing them home too.
We actually made it really easy for ourselves by saying way back before the two parents had even met, that we would take a Golden male. There was only one Gold male, who just happens to be the biggest and most thuggish of the litter, so the choice was simple.
I still want to keep them all though.

Thought about it, but would need to have her spayed, and it's best to let the girls have one litter before doing that.
Actually, I don't mind being outnumbered, I've never been a girly girl, and choose not to have too many close female friends. (Can't be bothered with the falseness, backstabbing and bitching. Learned that one the hard way.)
Plus, the boys in the house know who the boss is.
