I'm sure some of you here are already familiar with this book but if not, I urge you to read it. It's one of the better parody books of recent years in my opinion.
Written by student Bobby Henderson out of his frustration at dealing with fundamentalist Christians and creationists, the book hilariously lampoons religion with the introduction and explanation of a new religion, Pastafarianism and its central figure, the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
WARNING: While the book never gets offensive per se, Henderon is taking aim at organised religion, so if you are religious you might find that it angers or infuriates you rather than makes you laugh.
It also contains some nice artwork of depictions of the Flying Spaghetti Monster from throughout the ages. Here is "Touched By His Noodly Appendage", Michelangelo, 1511.
