Following the results of research into user behaviour, Microsoft has released new voice recognition software for debugging many of the most common problems with Office software. The software will automatically fix any problems encountered with the software when users issue a string of obscenities or vulgar instructions.
"We were surprised to find that rather than using any of the more common programming languages, most users reverted to four letter words to fix software problems so we incorporated this into the programming language," explained a Microsoft spokesman. Problems in printing, document layouts and performing any function in Excel can now be fixed by screaming "Oh come on you useless pile of sh*te" or similar. Most error messages will now disappear and a solution automatically applied if the user answers them with "oh what the f*ck is that supposed to mean!"

Excellent idea. Have 5 stars because I inevitably swear at our work thin client.

And should the public be concerned about "thin clients" - compare size zero models.

and hang on a minute, isn't it scientifically proven that swearing at your computer makes it work, shouting at machinery makes it go faster and so on? (or did I dream that?)

No Mr Mnir that is quite correct. After years working in IT Support I heartily recommend shouting, swearing and ultimately thumping anything IT related. Especially my boss.

My boss's title is Business Manager. She abreviates it BM. Where I used to work (in a more medically related environment) that had a whole other - but somehow so appropriate - meaning.
