Until some time last year, I was still waiting to see what I'd be when I grew up.
Now I'm retired.
In chronological order: The Six Million Dollar Man; Wonderwoman; a vet; a translator; French teacher; journalist; whale trainer at SeaWorld;and, for the moment, a lawyer.
To be honest, I'm still not really sure what I want to be when I grow up either, and really envy those who know what their career will be and who are lucky enough to achieve it.
soldier, fireman (station officer, wanted a white helmet), vet. Currently a veterinary referral surgeon. Stupid long hours, can be called any time, fair bit of pressure. Would like to be a teacher; I teach vets, but I think being a primary school teacher would be pretty cool...but having seen some of their work as a school governor, unfortunately no way I could keep up what they do for 6-7hours a day...
Jeni - is there a missing 'being a transgender operation patient' in between 6 Million Dollar Man & Wonderwoman? I realise in and of itself it wouldn't rate as a job but ....
Actually, if I was being precise, it would have been "Six Million Dollar" as I never actually specified man/woman at the time. I was, and still am, an out an out tomboy who just happens to look very girly.
I also discovered on Sunday that I can still climb trees at the age of 40, and can climb higher and faster than either Mr B or the Young Master.
