You've got to do the Fringe at least once. It's like no other comedy experience you can have. Just accept that you'll be completely ripped off when it comes to finding somewhere to sleep and go for it.
It's absolutely worth going.
Top tip: Don't even attempt to find somewhere in Edinburgh to stay, book a room somewhere in Fife, Dundee or Perth and either drive or take the train through. It'll save you a fortune even with the extra travel costs.
I would agree. I performed in the Festival about 20 years ago now with a drama group I belonged to then. I met a very fruity young lady after a show who proceeded to shag my brains out in the most glorious of ways. Drama types, you see. Haven't been back since, but would highly recommend it to anyone.
I have a friend that has a B&B I wonder if he jacks up the prices fringe time.Do non famous performers just find a space on the street to do their offering or is there some kind of procedural or pecking order or license needed.
