The Games begin one year from today but head pickpocket warns rich pickings could be missed.
Lord Coe has told Britain to get ready for "an amazing summer of sporting carnival but Charles Wallet-Retriever the head coach of the UK Fagin, cutpurse and lightfoot association has warned that complacency, neglected training could result in a plethora of golden opportunities being missed.
Charles Wallet-Retriever has called for the appointment of a petty theft czar to oversee preparations for 2012, "what we want is a heritage development that we see Dickensian street gangs wandering the streets of London for generations to come, as a result of these games. We want to inspire the next generation of the light finger. Leaving a legacy of street gangs willing and able to relieve to most wary of foreign tourist of their prized posessions. If there is only one thing we have learnt in the last 200 years is that you need to start them early to get a world class performance".
There have also been calls to regulate Soho bouncers and strip bars ahead of the 2012 games to ensure that there is a fair and transparent level to the amount that can be fleeced from a guilable foreign tourist, dignatory or athlete, and to ensure that UK citizens receive reduced rates.
