Federal agents have cautioned News Corp. chief James Murdoch that the famous British and Australian custom of ‘bagsy’ will not act as a credible claim to immunity if he is to stand trial in America.
In response, a spokesman for the UK Government said:
'There are no plans to rule out a legitimate claim of bags in respects to a judicial inquiry into phone-hacking or, if it applies, a criminal trial; as long as Mr Murdoch gets there first of course.'
'We’ve got no qualms with blaming it all on Rebecca Brooks. The British public always hate a female culprit more anyway. Look at Maxine Carr for instance.'
