In response to the test flights by airlines, Iceland's cabinet debate whether their next move to destroy modern civilisation should be to turn off the world's magnetic field or release icebergs into the shipping channels of the North Atlantic. Gier Svenbludsen, Minister responsible for global chaos, was quoted: "we thought destroying the financial system would be sufficient, but it seems that governments are more willing to support banks than they claimed they would be. Triggering the volcano has caused travel chaos and we expect this to continue, but it is possible that the world's airlines figure out some counter-measure such as air filters. I think the challenge we have now is to decide whether it would be better to simply turn off the magnetic field and causes the deaths of thousands of scouts in remote areas of the world, or to begin to sink North Atlantic shipping with Icebergs. We are hoping that the volcano will begin to cause some iceberg floes to dislocate and drift southwards, however, I think what the public has to understand is that none of these knock-on effects can be guaranteed."

They'd survive on Smokey's and Mars bars. A fine existence, it seems to me.
