Alexander Graham Bell Ticker. Posted at 9:30 and yet a ticker this morning despite no reactions or star rating. I must admit I ignored it as simply not funny. OK I haven't contibuted anything better - or at all recently - but it must have gone on the ticker before even being posted. I guess Oxy has that power.

WTF? Who is Guest and how come 2 random NIBs popped up both liberally peppered with fucks.
Are these from the amnesty archive or has the site been hacked? If they pop up as subs this evening I will have to get someone to look at my lap top's space/time continuum.

Well the snail one was mine: http://newsbiscuit.com/forum/topic.php?id=28002

It died without trace so I concluded that although I was sure the idea was funny, my piece was badly written. It obviously did need some editing, but i'm afraid i put the fucks in myself.

Guest is anybody who hasn't had many FPs or NiBs, so haven't actually had an account-type thing set up on the FP to link stories together. I was quite pleased the day I stopped being Guest. Although my first 2 FPs are still listed as Guest, and one of them is probably the best I have written, or ever will write for that matter.

Comments and stars have no bearing whatsoever on what the Eds think is good for the FP, NiBs and tickers. I actually quite liked the Alexander Graham Bell ticker, but hadn't commented on it on the board (it was there first, but not by much, I think ticker is updated around 10am generally, although somebody may correct me on that). Ditto facebook app one, hadn't seen the snail one.

VCG = teacher's pet. Oh, sorry, I meant to type something racist or homophobic but that came out instead.

Spot on Rikkor, mummy sends an apple in with me every day to give to teacher. Not sure I like the way teacher looks at mummy though, think there might be something going on there.

BTW, meant to ask on the other thread - if I say something nasty about your dog do I get to choose which member of my family you hunt down? There are a couple of cousins I don't like very much. Or is it random?

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought the guest bit was something submitted from outside. As I've only had a few tickers and a couple of NiBs I am probably a guest myself. One day I'll submit something long enough to be a FP and then be all bitter and twisted when it sinks without trace.
Button. I enjoyed the snail one but was surprised that I hadn't seen it before. Didn't object to the fucks (and in yours it was neccessary) I was just surprised that both new NiBs were equally fuck-filled.
Conspiracy theory put to rest and flounc-ette over.

Thanks BJ, you won't be surprised to hear that I thought of it whilst tossing a snail over my fence on Sunday. (I should point out that my neighbours garden hasn't seen a lawnmower since around 1982 so he wouldn't mind)

VCG, always good to know the rules. No, I get to choose who to snuff out. I'm glad you asked.

Good job I checked. Hope dad's huge cash-ectomy goes well and the squirrels are soon being given hell again, that'll teach the furry-tailed little fuckers.

I wonder if I'm the only one who's a bit creeped out that you refer to yourself as 'dad' when talking about your dog. Rikkor? There's enough material right there for a whole psychiatric conference.

    VTG, thank you.

Coarse, sorry. A lot of people call themselves "mom" and "dad" with their pets. I'm pretty sure you can tell I'm not too sickly sweet about other things, and I do know that human children are (in theory) much more important. How is he supposed to know me, by my first or last name? Don't be a cnut.

The other fuck-quotient-exceeding NiB was mine from three days ago. No comments on that one either, but by then I'd assumed I was subbing mostly for my own pleasure anyway. Nice to see the first one go in, regardless of the lukewarm reception here. Cheers.

Inspired by fOzz and Button, today I'll write something glorious, if bloody customers don't keep disturbing me, so don't hold the front page.

Why does everybody hate squirrels? They're very tasty. By the way, here at Fraser Towers we've correctly predicted 19 of the last 27 front pages (including Oxy's gay one).... as you can imagine, the long summer evenings simply fly by here

I've proably said this here before, but in the American South you can find squirrel brains in cans (2 per can) at the supermarket. Yum!

Sorry for late reply VCG - I would have been wrong, we were going for the Virgin Trains buddies piece - which I still say will make it tomorrow (Sunday). 19 out of 28. Mind you, great to see something hard-hitting on the front page today on the Hess grave front...

No, wrong again - I've put the kiss of death on our uncanny skills of prophesy. When I was a motoring journalist, I wrote a piece about my then car, a Mk1 Golf GTi which had some 120,000 on the clock and had never once let me down. Next time I drove it it died. I'll get my coat.

Guest is whoever is editing the Nibs that day. You are meant to put the author's name under it and put on that it was posted (not written, posted) by Guest. Of course some people forget.

I like the Roman games one too...
