For the 10,000 day running, the value of the pound refused to budge against the kilogram, leading to a becalmed trading floor at the Institute of Weight and Measures Exchange (MeasurEX) in Threadneedle Street.
With the ounce and the pound stabilised, many economists expected that Britain's weight exports would benefit. But the kilogram has shored up well, leading traders to revise thier expectations.
As a result, many stock brokers may have to be bailed out and, regrettably, taxes will have to be put up for the entire country in order to protect their millionaire lifestyles.
'We're all in this together," said a spokesman for the government.
