Would it be wrong to post a sub about the killer nurse and include the phrase "I was on the drip?"

I'll take the deafening silence as a "Yes, it would be wrong" then shall I?

Here's two damp squib comments:
1. I didn't get it/see where the laugh was... sorry, so I couldn't pass comment.
2. Alleged Killer Nurse....Posted 1 year ago # -
Jokes about killer doctors will hardly raise an eyebrow these days.

Monkey: Well there wasn't a laugh as I haven't written the sub (this is the chat room). The alleged murders were due to deliberately contaminated saline drips to which the nurse had access.
I was asking if a sub suggesting the defence of "it was my time of the month" but in schoolboy innuendo would be in too poor taste.
I'm guessing the answer is yes, but thank you anyway.Posted 1 year ago # -
Any nurse worth her salt would know that.
I'll get my coat.

I believe Eva Braun considered using ' I've had the decorators in ' as a defence before opting for suicide

Thank you Beau - I have been educated - I know many euphemisms for the reds playing at home, but being on the drip ain't one. I would have said that was a worthy joke (if it hadn't had to be explained to me....)

Ah, that will be because I am probably a lot older than you. It was the common euphemism in the late 60's in Dorset. That or "on the blob". Nowadays I prefer "up on bricks" which, I believe, originated in Liverpool.

Any other gems from the late 60s in Dorset, Beau-jolly?
In our house in deepest Cornwall, the children and I use the euphemism "It's time for us all to keep the fuck out of mummy's way."Posted 1 year ago # -
PS - Taste? Got no place in comedy.

‘On the sausage’ courtesy of a (former) Swiss girlfriend. Apparently in parts of France they say ‘the British are here’... a reference to Redcoats. Funny, I didn’t know there was a Butlins in France.

In France they call it 'avoir une Anglais' or something similar apparently, allegedly.

One advantage of being the wrong side of 50 is that any relationship with a pre-menapausal woman would probably be inappropriate. Whereas with a peer, once the hormones have settled down there is no "down time" so to speak.
OMG I sound so sexist. Let’s hope none of the girlies read this. Two sugars love.Posted 1 year ago # -
b-j I laughed at the original Posting and your last comment. But now am not sure whether I should be feeling slightly ashamed of myself.
I belong to a Trade Union that used to deploy Thought Police err.. 'Monitors'at Conference (they may still do so) to make sure everybody was on message. If there are any out there perhaps you could let me know what I should be thinking about thisPosted 1 year ago #
