A confused looking Rupert Murdoch insisted he could not recall being attacked this afternoon by a man in a checked shirt wielding a paper plate with shaving foam on it. “A paper what?" He asked reporters after the hearing of the Select Committee this afternoon. Mr Murdoch said that he was “out of the country” at the time of the alleged attack, and it is “usual practice” for executives at a lower level in News Corp to deal with these kind of attacks. He went on to tell the Select Committee that if any firm evidence of the attack came to light, he would not hesitate to tell police about it immediately.

Vy. funny. Usually some a-swipe comes along about now and says that you should have put this in the other room, so let me do it. You should have put this in the Writers' Room. That way, people can vote on it, and recognition and riches may be forthcoming.

Hooray for political activism. Everyone should be really thankful that his foam-lobbing actions have finally managed to bring this underreported story to the front pages.

Good to know that they only issue these to people of unblemished character.

Should be spliced with VCG's 'I'm 80 you know' one in the Writers Room, IMHO.
