Defence of Automatism stunts, if it can be proved that Good Times was acting outwith the control of senses, and that it was an external factor which caused it.

Thank you, kind people, even though on subsequent searching I see this has been done before in different guises. Jeni, hurry up and qualify, so you can be my lawyer when I'm next on a charge.

sure I did it. Just not very well. No killer instinct, you see. I once asked the judge to go easy on a villain as it was his birthday. He didn't.

Aw, stunts you sweetie.
My problem with Criminal law is that I'd be horribly prejudiced against any client who looked a bit 'funny'.
Mind you, I may just have gotten my trainee-ship in the bag already, with the possibility of next year's summer job being an internship.
The downside is that I'll have to do Criminal Defence work as well as the fun stuff I want to do.Posted 1 year ago # -
I;d like to think that defence lawyers and judges had a secret code- a little wink or a nudge- such that they could let the judge know 'I know I;m claiming that this mucky little scrote had a difficult childhood / was delivered by forceps / was in another county at the time / thought he had consent / etc...but really, he's as guilty as sin and you ned to send him to the big hoose with the cold showers and sandpaper condoms.

Are you suggesting that this fine country's Judiciary are in cahoots?
Having not yet been involved in any court work, I couldn't possibly say, but having spoken to several Solicitor friends, I actually don't think they are, otherwise more dubious bastards would be inside.
