Dave Higgs, was today celebrating in his small ironmongers shop in the picturesque North Dorset town of Shaftesbury.
When Dave heard about the massive roll-over jackpot he considered the odds and decided not to be arsed to buy a ticket. “It was my lucky day” said Dave, “When the numbers were announced I immediately realised that I hadn’t wasted a quid.”
With the windfall still fresh in his pocket, Dave has already decided how he will spend it. “If trade picks up this week and I can save another 40p I’m going to treat myself to that cup of coffee I’ve had my eye on.”
