The British Medical Association today issued a stark warning to members of the public who may tune in to watch News International chiefs give evidence at next Tuesday's Select Committee hearing. [quote]"There are bound to be some very large lies, which could prove dangerous to anyone trying to swallow them whole." said Dr Miller, a BMA spokeswoman "Sun and News of the World readers may have developed a degree of immunity from years of lies, half truths and innuendo, but everybody should remain vigilant." Dr Miller went on to express particular concerns about recovering bulimics "Swallowing a large whole lie is likely to induce nausea and gagging, which could then trigger a full relapse." Experts say that high-profile bulimic and former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott is not at risk; years in politics have apparently given him full protection.
