Congratulations to Ludicity who wins the June Writer of the Month award with a spectacular nine front page stories, including the superb 'Creationist school appears out of nowhere' and 'Panini launches new superinjunction range of cards and stickers'. It is his fifth grand slam victory, and in celebration he will be presented with a glass of Robinsons lemon barley and his own ball girl. We wish him 'bon chance' as he attempts to do the difficult double of also winning the Paris title in the same season.
For the second month running waylandsmithy was unlucky to miss out, this time securing six excellent front pages and four News in Briefs. He or she will no doubt take lots of positives from the performance and be back next month older and wiser and better prepared to go the distance in online satire's most prestigious and demanding tournament.
Many thanks to everyone who has been inspired this month to dig out their old pen, wander into the Writers' Room and have a bit of a knockabout. Remember that the place is actually open all year round.
