The age of martial arts practitioner and actor Steven Seagal could have a dramatic effect on the viability of the digital TV channel 5USA, according to a leaked internal report.
The document, prepared by financial analysts PwC, forecasts the channel's collapse if the 59 year old decides to stop making straight-to-video movies in the next 3 years.
"There are only so many times we can rotate the current stock of Seagal films before viewers start turning off in their droves. The same can be said for the various episodes and series of the CSI franchise." The report makes it plain that the channel must diversify if it is to exist beyond 2020.
It's thought the channel's owner, the media and muck magnate Richard Desmond, is already making preparations for the day that Seagal hangs up his fists and ceases to make the low-budget chop-socky films that is the lifeblood of 5USA.
An addendum to the leaked report suggests that the channel will, be turned into an adults sports broadcaster, with bikini-clad women wrestling in a variety of foodstuffs on a nightly basis, alongside competitive masturbation and hardcore sex acts involving some of the UK's best know celebrities.
Katie Price is already understood to have submitted an audition tape, only to have it rejected for being a shoddy copy of the one that's on the internet anyway.
