It is Plucky. I've done some work. Planted carrots, parsnips, parsley, basil, tomatoes, marigolds, cucumber, peppers and mentha piperata seeds. The weather is great. The sap is rising. If I was a pagan, I'd be on a real high. And best of all, the skies are empty and everything is quiet. They normally stack over us waiting to land at Heathrow.
In short, all is well with the world Plucky my son.

Glad you got your mentha piperata seeds in, Scroaty! Never heard of those but I am sure they will be a riot later in the year. Its good to see signs of summer.

allo Plucky, I'm in the kitchen doing some manly cooking with a crate of beer and my famous chilli recipe. The missus thinks it takes about 2 hours to cook and stays out the way as I swear, throw things around the kitchen (and drink). I love you guys.. your my best mate....

I wish I had good things to report, Plucky. It's day one of no nappies for young Master Mary and it is not going well. Scores on the doors:
Wet trousers: 3 pairs
Wet pants: 4 pairs
Wet socks: 3 individual
Dettol floor wipes: half a packet
New swear words introduced into toddler's lexicon: shitloadsPosted 3 years ago # -
That's not so good, Mary. Perhaps you better call it a day after this next one. They should, at least, be born continent - a design fault, perhaps? I hope Mr Mary is pulling his weight.

Mr Mary has, as ever, been quite brilliant, even when Master Mary decided, in a final deliberate act of protest at bedtime, to pee on the floor in front of him. Mr Mary warned him that were this to happen again, Daddy would wee-wee on his Buzz Lightyear pyjamas to see how he liked it. I have even escaped for a hair-do and a coffee whilst Mr Mary cleaned the house that was awash with toddler pee. He is a marvel amongst menfolk, if a little too good at getting me pregnant.
And you're damn right this will be the last one. We have four kids. It's getting silly now.Posted 3 years ago # -
Yes, enough is enough, Mary. Call it a day now.

Had a pretty good couple of days thanks Plucky. It's been beautiful up here, although a little breezy. Good, bracing dog-walking weather. Poor Piper now scurries off in the opposite direction when we pick his lead up, he's fed up of huge long walks and would prefer a few days of just romping round the garden.
Had a good friend and her youngest son round for coffee this afternoon, always a good laugh, and her son and the YM booby trapped the YM's tree-house.
I'm reliably informed that it is now parent proof.Mary, perhaps you should buy a tv for the bedroom. I'm sure you could write it off as expenses.

It's been beautiful, here, Jeni. We are going out for a 'cheap' meal, tomorrow, for my birthday, as I still can't use my right arm at the table without making a mess. Once it clears up, we will go out for a posher one.
Glad to hear that the Young Master and his pals are all in order. We had lunch with Master Munky today. Our old fat tabby is quietly drifting away. She spends most of her day in Miss Munky's old bedroom, finding a place in the sun. She still pees on the wood veneer but I suppose we have to accept that now. Meanwhile, Miss Munky is happy in Durban.
It does sound as though Mary needs a tv and dvd machine in the bedroom, with some fairly anodyne dvds to watch. Perhaps 'A Beginner's Guide to Windows Seven'.
