Education secretary Michael Gove said children getting a day off school for the royal wedding “wasn’t the same thing at all, obviously” as children getting a day off for the public sector strike.
Asked why it was OK to have a day’s holiday for the marriage of two famous people but not OK to have a day off because of a strike over pensions, Mr Gove said: “Um, well, that was different…”
Gove told journalists: “On the one hand, children were given the chance to take part in and be informed about a very important public event with obvious and vital implications for the future of our country and indeed for their future, and on the other hand they were given a day off for the royal wedding. Totally different things.
“And of course we must remember that the Royal Family do a marvellous job and oh, look at that lovely frock, while strikers are complete and utter bastards.”

Maybe if the strikers produce plates and tea towels with their pictures on, have a tedious street party and invite David Beckham along to the strike, everyone will love them.

Or perhaps they could get Pippa Middleton to flash her arse at the cameras?

For some reason, Pippa Middleton as a dinner lady has flashed into my head...don't expect any postings from me for a little while...
