Lord Coe, 'organiser' of the 2012 Olympics, today robustly defended the way that tickets for the event have been allocated.

Well, who should have arranged the train? No-one told me that! I thought I - well where is he then? How can I be in two places at once? It says in my diary that - oh hold on, that's May, isn't it. May 2010, actually, I seem to be looking at last year's diary. So when are the Olympics, then? Next year?? What, 2012?? That's ridiculous! How the hell can we get them organised in that amount of - well, OK, I use the word 'organised' loosely, but surely we've got more than 12 months to - oh bloody hell...'
