It’s all systems go for Prince Harry as the wraps come off his new chopper.
In a news briefing at St James’ Palace earlier today the delighted Prince said “The old one was getting a bit knackered and after having to abandon one or two sorties in the past I’m looking forward to getting this one up in the air and putting it through its paces.”
The Prince will undertake a six week training programme in the UK before hooking up with his comrades in Afghanistan. A spokesman for the Army Air Corps said “The Prince is really going to have to get to grips with the new chopper before he gets to unleash it in the battlefield. It’s a magnificent beast with the ability to zero in on specific targets day or night.”
With a twin turbo shaft, state of the art landing gear and a finely tuned sensor system the chopper can manoeuvre into extremely tight spots and inflict massive damage.
Prince Harry continued “I don’t think it’s got any real drawbacks. In fact it has an awesome propulsion system and a highly explosive payload so if one was standing in front of it you could get blown out of existence!”
At the briefing the Prince’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy, who looked glamorous in a pink chiffon mini, said that she was definitely looking forward to staying with the Prince in Middle Wallop before he headed off to Afghanistan.
