I didn't realise she had a book out.
Did she write it herself, or get a ghost writer to help?Posted 1 year ago # -
Bwahah! Yeah. Kind of like "The Autobiography Of Alice B. Toklas" with less facial hair but more BO.

Not a lot of people know this, but John Parr, singer of the consumate eighties soft-rock tune 'St Elmo's Fire'(Man in Motion) is her descendant.

ID, you must have children who reproduced (and on and on) to have descendants. She didn't. Doggone/Bonjo (any others?), sad people like that are also called "educated" and "lots better than you".

I suppose, on reflection, the one person NOT to seek to bluff on an obscure linkage to a minor figure in medieval history is the person who has just sat through their entire biography, which might reasonably be expected to include details of any progeny.
Whoops.
However, I have been humming 'St Elmo's fire' all evening, so alls well that ends well.

ID (you bitch), same prob w/"St. Elmo's Fire". Katherine Howard would be even a shorter and more obscure biography. Probably abouy 20 years old when her brief reign was cut short.

Katherine Howard? She was Frankie Howerd's great, great, great, great grandmother. It's why he did so much comedy about history. And why he refused to wet-shave.

Wasn't Catherine of Aragon in Lord of the Rings?

Not forgetting Ann of Cleeves, whose surname was Widdecombe. I understand the marriage wasn't consumated.
