Rupert Murdoch has now started legal proceedings against News International following the latest revelations from the enhanced Police phone hacking investigations. It seems that the Police have found references to Mr. Murdoch together with his telephone number on e-mails found at the News of the World. The Police are maintaining that these e-mails have only recently been passed to them from the News of the World, though Mr. Murdoch’s own staff are more skeptical and are making claims of Police cover-ups. In a statement earlier today a spokesman for Mr. Murdoch said that for a long time they had suspected people have been intercepting his communications as many major stories he discussed in private then appeared splashed all over the papers. It is widely know that, after he mentioned to his News of the World editorial team about switching his political support to the Conservatives, the it then become headline news, clear evidence of hacking.
