Merchant Taylor's School have welcomed the news that Hannah McIntyre was, in fact, not guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust and, in a refreshing exhibition of employer-loyalty, have promoted her from being a mere Classics teacher to the lofty position of Head of Sex Education.
Speaking outside court, the Headmaster announced Miss McIntyre's promotion, adding that "The decision more or less made itself. We never believed for one minute that Hannah was guilty, and would, in fact, like to reward her for upholding the school's tradition and motto 'Concordia parvae res crescunt' (In harmony small things grow). Consequently, we shall instruct more of our teachers, male or female, to take our founders' words more literally in the future."
