Following on from the announcement of Apple’s iCloud service, and sticking with their policy of producing ‘new’ products that are remarkably similar to ones that are already available and then relying on their marketing to sell them, CEO Steve Jobs has announced the launch of their latest product the iWheel.
When asked what will set the iWheel apart from competitors in a marketplace that Apple has no experience of Mr Jobs claimed ‘The iWheel is up to 5% rounder than those of the current market leader Wagon Wheels, comes complete with the Apple logo, which none of our competitors will have, and of course, it is much, much more expensive. But to see what a difference our new range can make to everything from cars to roller skates, our customers will just have to buy them and find out for themselves.’
With the iWheel set to go on sale next week thousands of very impressionable people are expected to be queuing outside Apple stores from the early hours of Monday morning, eager to be among the first to roll away with the new product and post messages on internet forums about how wonderful it is.
The iWheel will initially only be available in black, but an announcement is expected in around 3 months time of the launch of a white version. This will enable desperate Apple fanboys who have already spent hundreds on the black version to fork out again for something exactly the same but in a different colour.
