Discrimination against posh people is on the increase, according to Lord Fellowes, Downton Abbey creator and ghastly snob.
And the evidence supports Fellowes’ argument. He points out that of the twenty-nine ministers in Cameron’s cabinet, six are not millionaires.
‘It’s quite appalling,’ said Fellowes, ‘that Cameron is so afraid of being labelled ‘posh’ that he’s allowed six quite terrible people to sit in his cabinet.’
With hate crimes against posh people on the increase and people afraid to walk the streets of South Kensington, toffs are pressing for anti-discrimination legislation.
‘It’s against the law to discriminate against gays,’ said Fellowes, ‘but posh people are fair game. Some afternoons I’m afraid to step outside Fortnum and Mason.’
