It's about time these so called scientists were called to account.
They think they're something special, with their lab coats and their test tubes and fancy words.
It's good to see them taken down a peg or two.

Well it puts "seismologists" in a tricky position. Face charges or admit that their 'research' is a pointless charade.

No, I'm noat a scientist. Seismologists have it tough. Imagine if they ever could predict earthquakes fairly accurately. "OK, 8 million of you have to leave Los Angeles in the next 10 hours. No jostling or panic, please."

Maybe they'd only tell important people. Maybe that's what they do now anyway. George Clooney never gets killed in earthquakes. Makes you think.

IT specialist charged for failing to predict systems crash - "it's bound to happen at some point" not good enough defence, apparently.
