   Saltire entered his lover's chamber, as surely and deftly as he must soon enter his lover's willing body. Still panting from the 100-mile ride across the Scottish heathlands, his breath quickened further as he beheld his lover lying resplendent on the bed. He approached softly - to wake this vision from slumber was surely a crime against love itself - but he had waited long enough. He crept to the bed and knelt softly by his heart's only need. He inhaled the heady scent of his lover's breath as a sleep-coated eye opened to Saltire's longing presence.
   "Salty darling," said Des, stifling a belch rich with real ale and cheese and onion pasty. "Do fuck off..."
