Amidst much media speculation regarding the reason behind the wedding of Labour leader Ed Milliband and his partner of seven years Justine Thornton has finally decided to settle the issue. Seeking to reassure the public, she called a press conference where she categorically stated that the wedding was not to increase her future spouse's electability.
"We're getting married because of sex," she stated bluntly,"frankly I've had enough and marriage seems like the clearest way to draw a line on the whole issue."
Abstinence campaigners have objected that she has misunderstood and it is sex before marriage that is objectionable. She countered by pointing out how many of her married friends were already proudly wearing their chastity rings. Reporters are now reconsidering the reasoning behind Prince William's decision not to wear a wedding ring and waiting to see the stance that Ed will take.
