They all seem to be being given 1*. Has he joined the site and gone through 1 starring all the stories about him? You'd think he had more important things to do. Or is somebody on here a big fan of his?

Don't complain; that's one star more than most of my posts.

Yeah, I had my doubts about writing one - there are some subjects you just shouldn't tackle, and Ken Clarke is one of them...

It strikes me as a bit sad to mark down submissions just because they have a different political opinion to yourself. Personally, I like Ken Clarke normally, but this is a whopping gaffe and some of the stories are pretty funny.

I normally only give an article 1 star if I haven't written it.

Ken has obviously logged off and gone to work, there are a few on there now that have been given more than 1*.

Curiously, the hysterical misrepresentation (of what he actually said) by Ed Moribund and others has gone unremarked; don't get me wrong, I've no time for him, but at PMQ's Moribund just looked desperate.

At the risk of starting a debate about what 'comedy' is, I should say Ken Clarke gags are ok as long as it is designed to show what a fucking idiot he is for bumbling his way into a subject like rape. Don't mind the man normally, (I can only just remember my parents losing their house when he was chancellor) but this was a rather silly thing for a fat old tory to say.

Just seen the number of Ken Clarke tickers. So I know how the editor feels on this subject. The Good Rape Guide sub made me wince a little, I have to admit!

I've no idea what he actually said, I only found out he'd said anything when all the stories started poopping up on here. So I decided to add to the game of Chinese whispers by posting my own uninformed take on what may well be a deliberate misrepresentation by the media.
