rather than an X in the box. (subject to the Westwell approval committee on wit and content)
Looking through the last couple of pages, the subs left without a vote and the people who have been on here today, what is your problem with giving someone a mark? I know I haven't, today, but if I did you wouldn't see my point would you.

To be fair Ram, I've been too pre-occupied with online porn to start voting - although now I'm spent that's what I'm doing

As you have to talk to politicians as part of your job, I think you're exempt, Blacky. Please do me a favour, though. Next one that says clearly, engage or issue, give them a smack in the mouth from me, could you.

I think the tide must have washed them back out to sea
they will be back later
Maybe people are too embarassed to leave just a 1 or 2 so opt out altogether or pretend they didn't read it
Some of course don't deserve anything because they are rubbish (eg: my stuff)Posted 3 years ago # -
But Sid, clearly you're saying that lack of voting is an issue and we should engage holistically with the subs board?
*ducks behind sofa ... oooh 5p, fluff, three toffees and a gimp mask*
There are some subs I don't have time to read (and anything about football - *yawn*) but I do vote for around 1/3 those on the board. As Ed says, 1 or 2 seems insulting. Or should we score EVERYTHING? Might just not be time for many.

Go on then, I'll bite...
I don't always have time to read, vote and comment on every single post (I limit how long I spend on the internet at work, and don't have much PC time at home). If the headline attracts my attention, then I'll probably read that sub eventually.
'If you can't say (or vote) anything positive, don't say (or vote) anything at all'. Unless I find something really funny, I won't vote or comment (unless I think I can offer some genuinely constructive criticism). Even if I do mark a post, I won't always comment, having being accused in the past of being overly-gushing (in my defence I did mop up after myself). I usually refrain from commenting on FPs too - they're all good, so I don’t want to end up repeating myself)
A lot of my stuff settles to the bottom of the tank with zero stars. Hey-ho - I'm not going to vote for myself, and if nobody else felt strongly enough to do so then fair enough - there are worse things in the world to worry about!

As opposed to the Ramblesid approval committee on wit and content, of course.

We all miss a gem now and again : Madjez has a particularly fine News in Brief running right now - yet it failed to score at the time
Plus - I don't even understand half the subs (especially about TV or celebrity) so don't feel qualified to vote, even though I may have read the sub. A lot of it goes over my head.Posted 3 years ago # -
I know the feeling Ed - though I am only 4'3" tall.

No ducks behind my sofa. I'll just check again. No, just coins and fluff.

I rather like the idea of a Westwell Approved Newsbiscuit Kommittee. We could all have one.
I dunno. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't round here. I used to go around giving every single sub a one and people didn't like that either.

Ram has a good point. There are a lot of subs that get nothing, at the moment. It is difficult to know why. Bless us all.

There's a lot of shite around for starters.
