Taliban fans of the film 'The Great Escape' did a re enactment of the plan by getting 470 prisoners out from a jail in Kandahar. One ex prisoner said proudly 'After the tunnel they gave me a motorbike to escape. I was like Steve McQueen. It doesn't get much better than that.'

They named the tunnels Tom, Dick and Halibut, apparently

update. the escape was planned so they could get back in time to watch the Royal Wedding.
