The potholes of 2010 will go down in history. Certainly if you go down them your car is history.
I was watching some elderly flat-cap drivers (of which we have a copious rural supply) slithering on icy, snow-banked roads up here with remarkably frequent clatters into pot-holes: it made our hillside roads look like some kind of giant pin-ball machine.
Just thought I would add a comment to a really old, and not very funny, story to put it back at the top of page one.

Government cuts and the recession are to blame I think. New government spending cuts, David Cameron plans to replace bitchumen for fixing the holes with scrounging wingers.
