The Sheffield branch of the Lib Dems (aka Frank Skittlewaite) has decided to replace photos of Nick Clegg with that of Osama Bin Laden on their election leaflets, as they believe it will give them more of a chance of winning.
'When we gave out leaflets with Clegg's photo on it,' said Skittlewaite, 'we were physically attacked in the street. People said they would rather cut off their left leg than vote Lib Dem, and it was embarrassing having all these limbs strewn around the place.
'But when we replaced his photo with Osama Bin Laden, the reaction was much more positive. They said "We can trust him! At least he doesn't change his mind. If he says he's going to blow up a plane or tower block, at least he does it. He doesn't say Oh dear, we've run out of money, sorry, I've changed my mind." We're picking up votes from all over the place!'
