The vintage bike manufacturer, that made motorcycles between 1899 to 1906, and then from 1919 to 1933 in Nottingham, England, is appalled at the hundreds of people expected to protest at the start of the Isle of Man rally.
The rally has attracted criticism in the past for the number of deaths and injuries that occur, with riders reaching speeds of 200 mph on roads that are used by the public, and protestors simply believe that people not getting dead is more important than the maintenance of British traditions. However Dave Tyres, chairman of Raleigh, disagrees:
‘Britain is seen as a haven of tradition, no matter how costly, nonsensical and fatal they may turn out to be and many people visit these isles for exactly that reason. Banning the Isle of Man rally would simply be the start, in ten years time we wouldn’t be allowed to have a cup of tea and a scone for fear of people inadvertently choking on a stray raisin’
Riot police may be called to the scene of the protests if things become heated, but motorcycles will not be used for fear of revving up an already volatile situation.

Truth stranger than fiction?

Ah the Raleigh Supermatic. As teenagers we'd speed across golf courses on it. Abhor that sort of behaviour today.

You're quite right to abhor such behaviour, speeding across golf courses is simply not good enough. You should at least stop to do donuts in the bunkers.

You should at least stop to do donuts in the bunkers.
This begs another question however; just what type of doughnut do you "do"? The ones with the hole in the middle are the obvious choice, but they don't have the benefit of jam-filled lubrication and can, after a while, start to chafe against the shaft of one's cock.
It's a dilemma which I've never fully solved. That's why whenever you find me crouched in a shallow bunker at Lullingstone golf course I'll more than likely be fucking a bag of melted Revels.

Lullingstone! I lived not a stones throw away from that course and have played it a few times. I always did wonder why there was quite so much sugar in the bunkers. What do you think of the dog leg on the second hole? The splinters can be a killer.
