James Peasmold Gruntfuttuck from Devon discovered tonight that, on a brand new "mind improving" application on Facebook that his "Disney Cartoon Character" was no less than "Tinkerbell". "This has made my life complete" James told a reporter from "Hello" magazine who was the first "off the mark" to notice this on the well known social networking site. "I had never expected anything better than Mickey Mouse - but, to get Tinkerbell was beyond my wildest dreams", continued James, "this opens doors that I never dreamed possible and will simply change my life forever".
His agent Max Wellhouse told reporters at a packed news conference "James is still trying to come to terms with his good fortune. We have already had offers from Simon Cowbell, News at 10 and the new Jamie's 30 minute Education asking for guest appearances from James. We believe that now 'the sky is the limit' for him".
Government sources tonight revealed that James was being considered as a replacement for Vince Cable. Sources close to David Cameron said "We need a government of talent and depth of experience and, after such an event, we feel that James could be the ideal candidate for business secretary". It is rumoured that, instead of having to go through the election procedure that James will be elevated to the Upper House as "Lord James of Never Never Land and Littlehampton" so he can take up his new position at once.
To quote James "I never thought, in my wildest dreams that simply taking a simple quiz, that required no answers and was based purely on my 'profile' would ever have such an incredible effect on my life. I will do everything I can now to work for the 'ordinary' man in the street". James' new record "I owe it all to Facebook" is expected to be available for download from next Monday said a spokesman from Sony BMG- "We believe that he could be the second Michael Jackson and wish him all the best after showing such tenacity and clear talent".
Facebook and the originator of the quiz were unavailable for comment.
