Millions of people today showed their utter indifference to the fate of traffic wardens, health and safety officers and diversity enforcement executives by not going for a walk through central London then throwing a brick at some policemen.
"We went for a walk through the local woods, as the daffodils are all out", said Brian Forbes, an unemployed chemical engineer from Bedford, "then I watched the Wales-England game in the local pub while the wife went to Asda, and we had a take-away for supper. All-in-all, a nice day, really".
"What march?", he added.
