The strange smile that has, over recent months, been appearing on the face of Prime Minister Gordon Brown is due to trapped wind.
Worry over repeated attempts by his colleagues to bring him down have left the dour PM with more than usual levels of hot air. Each time too much hot air builds up, the PM is forced to briefly smile as he tries to fart silently.
Doctors have said his condition is not critical, but warned members of the public to avoid looking directly at Mr Brown whilst smiling. Instead people are being advised to use a mirror to avoid being creeped out.
