A Briton was killed in the recent Japanese earthquake, bringing the death toll in Japan to 1.
There is a rumour that something might have happened to some other people there, but as they're all foreigners it doesn't matter in the slightest.
The most important thing by far is that a Briton was actually killed. We are hoping that his death will be especially tragic - it would be nice if he were about to get married, or better still had actually got married the day before.
Or maybe he was planning to fly back to England to see his dying mother/father/giraffe.
But even if he was none of these, we'll find something to bring tears to your eyes, believe me!
And if a nuclear power station explodes in a mushroom of atomic radiation, destroying most of east Asia, let's hope that no Britons are injured - that would be absolutely appalling.
