I hope and pray that this is a wind-up, but knowing what some of the locals are like, I'm afraid that this is likely to be genuine -

It is high time the problem of TV presenters was addressed. I am sick of switching on for some light entertainment only to be faced with an exhibition of rampant sensuality. Bruce Forsyth was recently exposed down to the third shirt button! — The Voice Of Reason.
In fact, I can hear this in my gran's voice.

I was brought up in a town so posh that out local paper was actually a broadsheet. Last week the big headline was about scrapping free car parking in the car park by the quay. The second story was the £1.75m Heathrow robbery trial which saw two locals sent dahn to do bird without trial by jury.
That's parking > massive robbery and legal bizarity.

The suburb where I live is a bit like that. Despite having lived here for 20 of my (almost) 39 years, married a local lad, work locally, shop locally, and socialise locally, I'm considered an incomer.
It's full of "Ladies Outfitters", exclusive and expensive shoe shops and tea-rooms.
The local ice cream parlour/Italian restaurant has a widely known, but denied, policy of serving locals first, even in the height of summer where the queue is out the door and down the street. The staff come out and create two queues, supposedly to speed things up, but actually to separate the visitors from the residents.
Recently in Dundee, the city of which we are a suburb, a woman went missing and was later found murdered. The connversation in the pubs, shops and tea-rooms was not about this tragic and horrific act, but about the fact that there was planning permission granted for a, *GASP* Bookies on the main street.
