The popularity of TV drama Glee, about a group of a cappella singers in a US high school, has inspired Catholic school chiefs in a Surrey boys' secondary school to form a glee club to teach values of good moral health. Headteacher Fr Pat McKendrick said, "Unaccompanied singing is not only ideal practice for our choirboys but also teaches them to leave their instruments alone".
