Yesterday evening O2 engaged porn-blocking. Anyone trying to access adult sites from an O2 mobile are now asked to verify their age using a credit card.
Fair enough I suppose but O2 have included Google Translate in their list of adult sites! Apparently Google Translate can be used as a "gateway to adult sites", whatever that means.
Anyone trying to use the Google Translate app on an Android phone (maybe iPhone too?) will find it no longer works. You have to ring 61018 to gain access to this app which I personally use everyday in our multi-language society .
