Finally righting a number of near misses, Stan Laurel collects long-overdue congratulations after sneaking home as Writer of the Month for February with five excellent front page stories and a handful of News in Briefs. His stories included innovations such as the Dog-Eared Kindle and Binatone’s Small Hadron Collider, and so he is duly rewarded with a limited-edition hand-held tea-bearing vessel which will go wrong the day after the warranty expires, and a day before it arrives.
In a really strong month in which no less than 14 separate writers hit the front page, Stan pipped Skylarking to the post by one story, with the chasing pack including Ludicity and jampot who each scored three front page stories, the latter in a very promising debut month. Congratulations also go to OllieP for his story about the French language being made up, which was the most popular front page in February.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed this month and helped NewsBiscuit, in its own small way, to bring democracy to troubled North African states. In March we aim to bring down Luxembourg – that place has pissed us off for years.
