Following concerns over lack of knowledge by Judges of Competitors, Lord Coe (himself a dead ringer for Eric Cantor, 2nd ranking Replublican in the US House of Representatives)has enrolled all Judges on Seminars to 'tell them apart'.
Concerns were raised following discussions between the Governing Body and the Panel of Judges in January 2011. It became clear that most Judges thought that "..Africa was a country fielding a team..". There was then mention of so-called "Crap Countries". Lord Coe insisted that the Judges should call a spade "a spade".
The biggest concerns were centred on the Chinese and Japanese Teams. If Japan were to 'go first' there was a real risk that the Chinese would just copy what they did giving a near identical result.
Additionally, there was a risk of the teams becoming mixed up, because despite recent advances in CCTV, it was still difficult to tell them apart.
